Women Entrepreneurs thriving in New Zealand

As part of GEW-NZ on Wednesday throughout New Zealand Women's entrepreneurship day was celebrated. Women in Technology (WIT) with the support of IBM New Zealand ran sessions at the three main NZ cities, Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington the photo here shows the Wellington session facilitated by Melissa Clark Reynolds a successful New Zealand serial entrepreneur and Corrin Blumsky a branding trademark specialists inspiring young professional women.

Women’s Enterprise Day launches in New Zealand

Wednesday 19th saw New Zealand open Women's Enterprise Day with the first event at a breakfast in Auckland city.

Women in Technology’s (WIT) managing director Carol Lee Anderson and her team delivered events throughout the main cities of New Zealand all to packed houses. IBM supported the WED initiative providing the venues, refreshments and facilities.

The themes of the session varied throughout the country although all were aimed at developing an entrepreneurial culture among young professional women
 
The sessions were designed to inspire New Zealanders to take up their ideas and make them happen regardless of location. This could be starting a business, influencing social entrepreneurial opportunities or by turning an idea into reality at work. It is about New Zealanders thinking big, turning ideas into reality and making their mark.

All main centers participated in the celebrations and sessions were supported by a facilitator and well known panelists.

Auckland: the panel consists of Carol Lee Andersen, Janene Freer and Sarah Trotman all well known and respected entrepreneurs.
Christchurch: Dominque Dowding and Mary Devine all respected entrepreneurs
Wellington: Melissa Clark Reynolds serial entrepreneur, Corinne Blumsky branding and IP advisor, and Jayne Wallis respected entrepreneur.
