Countries all around the world are joining together to carry the banner of Global Entrepreneurship Week, an initiative aimed at young people everywhere. During the week of November 17 - 23, 2008, partner organizations will conduct a range of activities - from simple speeches to comprehensive competitions - designed to inspire, connect, inform, mentor and engage the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Being an ambassador for your region is not only simple, it will also make permanent mark on New Zealand’s scale towards being known as a center for entrepreneurship around the world. There are many ways to get involved and to show that your region is active in the rise of Global Entrepreneurship Week NZ.

Event Description:
GEW is about entrepreneurship: Inspiring New Zealanders to have ideas and make then happen regardless of location. The focus is toward supporting an enterprise culture among New Zealanders in the broadest sense. This could be starting a business, influencing social entrepreneurial opportunities or by turning an idea into reality at work. It is about New Zealanders thinking big, turning ideas into reality and making their mark. Women's Enterprise Day is the 19th of November. In events generously sponsored by IBM, WIT is celebrating in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch by inviting a panel of exciting female entrepreneurs to share their experiences with us. In Auckland the panel consists of Carol Lee Andersen, Janene Freer and Sarah Trotman. To register your interest, please email Kirsty kirstyh@womenintechnology.co.nz, with a brief note about your entrepreneurial idea. Numbers will be limited so those attending get the maximum benefit from the experience. Register now!
